For those who have bought DVDs off this person in the past of CC CLs he is stopping doing them and selling his stock off. Normally a DVD is £7 but reduced to £5 but when buying 4 you get 40% off. When buying 8 you get 60% off which works out at £2 each.

I already have 16 DVDs and on each one there are normally about 15 or 16 CLs listed which shows route, site facilities etc.

I've just sent for 10 to complete my collection. You only need to use one CL for a week to get your money back. The downside is one or two CLs might no longer be on the CC books but on their website it lists each CL on the DVD.

I have likewise on my TomTom but it doesn't show you what the site is like regarding views, facilities etc. With the exception of one we've only used CLs that we've seen on the DVDs and have, so far, never been disappointed.

An alternative to the DVDs is if you see a CL that you think you might like if he has it on his database you can download a file of that site. It could save a lot of disappointment if you found it a crap CL when you arrived.

Okay missed the part about views etc as they do not tell you or show a sample of what to expect for your money.  We are only interested in CLs in mainly in Worcestershire and Gloucestershire,  Wales, and maybe the South West.  However all this info is readily available free on Earth Google and using 5vanmap.com.

I also use Google Maps, aerial and drive view, but that's not the same as someone showing what's on the site with a camcorder. Things like the state of the bogs, if there's a dog walk and what it's like, condition of service facilities plus other pointers like showing whether their fishing lake is in truth a small pond.

For £2 a DVD we thought it was cheap because as I said, all you need to do is spend one week on a CL from the DVDs compared to a main site and you've got your money back.

It is now £5 a DVD.  As I said I think the biggest problem is that there is not a sample DVD that you can review before purchase.

See my first post. It's £2 each if you buy 8. We needed 10 to complete our collection which we sent for. If you go here ....

there are clips of 457 CLs and it costs 58p to download one clip of a CL of choice. This would give you a chance of seeing what the rest are like without buying as much as one DVD.

I've no connection with Armcher but in having bought 18 DVDs before and seeing the offer I thought I would let others know. Nothing more than that  Wink
