Hi All, sorry I have already posted on the forum before coming here, where to start I got back in to caravanning in 2009 and bought my current van which is a 1992 Lunar Clubman 450CK-2. Experience in getting back into caravanning as been mixed as explained in my other posts however I am beginning to enjoy it once again but for some strange reason I found (for the first time) that I was nervous towing, something that never bothered me in the past. The last time I owned a caravan was in 1987 which was a sprite, my daughter was the reason we use to caravan then but now she is all grown up and married and me and my wife never seem to have a holiday anymore we always made excuse as to why we shouldn’t bother.

I needed to find away to make us both make the effort to get away somewhere, nether of us  liked going abroad so we decided to buy a cheap caravan to see if we would ‘one’ use it and ‘two’ enjoy using it again, the rest is as they say is history.

We where planning on buying a new caravan but the economic downturn and the fact we love our old Lunar, made us decide to spend some money on it instead. So there you have it, if you see a 1992 Lunar Clubman 450CK-2 which is the upside down boat roof type come and say hello, you will be most welcome.

It is said that you can take the man out of the caravan, but not the caravan out of the man and this seems to be true in your case!

Welcome to a great forum and many happy years of caravanning to you both.

Hi Dave, welcome to the Practical Caravan forum (in case I forgot to welcome you in the other thread)

More people are returning to caravanning now, maybe they are fed up of being treated like cattle at airports but whatever the reason it's great that money spent on leisure is being spent here in the UK.

We loved the room to pass by in the middle of our Lunar Clubman 475- CK when we had ours, unfortunately the guy who owned it before us regularly used a jet washer to blast algae away from the sealed seams (we found out later from his brother) and the Lunar succumbed to the dreaded damp.

No matter what the age of your caravan we will look forward to reading your comments because there are no snobs on this forum such as those that you mentioned in your other topic.
