blue words
I just replied to a post and one of the words came up in blue. If I click on this a box operated by "surf canyon" opens. I notice that there are blue words in other peoples posts. Is anyone else getting this?

Thank you for kind explanation sir kev. However, these are not links deliberately posted by Sprocket, Parksy or others. They are odd words in postings which are being highlighted by another (external) source. If I click on them I get a search engine (surf canyon) list of whatever the word is. It may be just on my machine.
Kev is the word "games" in my reply to "sites in the Peak District" thread on the UK touring forum in blue on your machine?

Lady Mel ....
This is what i can see
Callow Top has an outdoor pool. I didn't like the site much (the phrase battery hens came to mind), but others love it. There was a site in Fenny Bently called Highfields farm that had a small indoor pool. Haven't been for years but I think that it has changed its name. If you don't want to limit yourself to the Peak District, there is a site in Woodhall Spa in Lincolnshire with an indoor pool, a games room, a bar and some entertainment. Can't promise it is cheaper than Sandy Balls though.

No words are in blue ....... ??????
Is your antivirus uptodate ?
Same as Sprocket, no words in blue, sorry I cant be of any more help, do hope you sort it soon, good luck
I've forgotten what it's called but some search engines (including the previous version of Firefox) included a device which enabled those reading text to see more information about a given subject by highlighting words within the text.
Sometimes the link was to Wikipedia and in this sentence the word Wikipedia would be highlighted so that a mouse click led to an explanation of what it is.
I think that Mel's search engine has this option.
To remove it if you wish you need to click on Tools >>Options>> Plug Ins (or add ons) and use the check boxes to select or remove.
Hi all
I have googled Surf Canyon and come up with this web site - a FAQ page which may help - It dosen't seem to have loaded anything on my PC and Ive had no warning flags from my internet security package so it seems to be safe to view
Thank you one and all. I have followed your instructions and I think that I have uninstalled it. No blue words on my last posting. Pats on the back all round.

Hi Lady Mel cant explain the first part changing when you reply but the blue text in other peoples post are normally links to other websites, info pages etc.
If you click on them they will take you to infinity and beyond!!
Sprocket and Parksy mainly do them but others like me occasionally. They will come along and explain all.
