Having a good sat nav and dash cam can be two important pieces of kit for an enjoyable towing experience, providing peace of mind and making your journey as stress-free as possible. Garmin is a well-regarded brand too, with its Camper sat nav range regularly featuring at our Awards in recent years.

Practical Caravan’s editor, Sarah, tested out its larger counterpart, the Camper 1095 (they share the exact same features, the only difference is the screen size), and was incredibly impressed by the speed with which it calculated the route to take and the confidence it inspired.
This not only saw it warn about upcoming issues such as sharp curves, but also makes sure you don’t end up down narrow roads. There are also other useful features, such as its BirdsEye Satellite Imagery, for straightforward pitching up, and full European mapping, as well as suggestions for must-visit stop-offs along the way. Information is all displayed on a clear seven-inch screen, and it’s currently available with an excellent £90 saving.

It’s not just a sat nav on offer either – we’ve spotted the Garmin X310 with a 19% discount, bringing it down to £283.99. Also tested out by Sarah, she was impressed enough by its performance to see it shortlisted for the best caravan gadget category at our recent 2025 Awards.
Like the Camper 795, it inspired the confidence you would want when searching for a good dash cam, with a clear 4k Ultra HD resolution and a straightforward 2.4-inch LCD touchscreen. As well as this, it offers functions such as automatic incident detection, lane-departure and forward-collision warnings, and can also be voice controlled.

Or perhaps you find yourself in need of a dash cam and a sat nav? If this applies to you, the Garmin CamperCam 795 is currently available with a £80 saving, bringing it down to £419.98. The CamperCam 795 offers everything that the Camper 795 provides but with the added benefit of a quality dash cam. Ok, it may be £120 more, but it saves you from having to splash out on the additional cost of a dash cam and a sat nav, as well as saving you from having too much kit cluttering up your cabin.
The dash cam records in 1080p HD, and provides a 140-degree field of view, as well as offering warnings should you drift from your lane, giving you that welcome peace of mind when you’re on the road.
