Those looking for easy-to-use lightweight caravan barbecues should check out the Campingaz stand at this week’s Caravan, Camping and Motorhome Show at the NEC, where they will find a number of products new for 2025.
Options on the Campingaz stand include the Camping Kitchen 2 Multi-Cook Gas Stove (show price of £199.99 and £230 recommended retail). This freestanding two burner gas stove with an additional tube burner and die-cast aluminium griddle is super easy to use and extremely compact. Everything is removable, so you can take off the side table, legs and condiment tray and use it on a table top. It folds down into a neat carry case and weighs 5.4 kg.
The stove features two 1800-watt burners and a 900-watt tube burner heating a separate griddle. The burners are protected by Flameguard technology ensuring better burner performance and lower gas consumption Gas cylinders (type R907 and R904) simply fit onto a gas tap at the rear.
Last year we featured the Camp Bistro 3 stove, a neat easy-to-use portable stove with a single burner powered by CP250 gas canisters. This year, Campingaz has launched a griddle accessory for the Bistro stoves, which instantly transforms them into barbecues.
The Camp Bistro 3/DLX Griddle costs £20 and provides a non-stick grill surface on top of the regular stove. It is made of heat-resistant die-cast aluminium and weighs 700g.
