Looking for somewhere Christmassy to stay over the festive holiday season? Adults-only Bath Chew Valley Caravan Park in Bishop Sutton near Bath is promising that its annual display of festive lights and decorations will be more spectacular than ever this year.
The family-owned park, which has been awarded Covid-secure gradings by the AA and Visit England, and Bath City are in Tier 2 of the Government’s Covid-19 management scheme.
Owner Keith Betton reported a very busy time between lockdowns and now is looking forward to reopening the gates and welcoming his guests for Christmas.
“Everyone here is dreaming of a bright Christmas, and we can’t wait to see guests arrive and set up their units!” said Keith. “Visitors bring their motorhomes and caravans from across the country to join in the festive fun and great atmosphere. We even hold a competition for the best decorated unit, and some guests go to amazing lengths to outshine their neighbours in a spirit of friendly rivalry!
“We have many bookings now for Christmas, the New Year, and well into 2021 so we are naturally very optimistic about the long-term prospects for the park. But we still have a lot of ground to make up, as do the many smaller businesses in the area which rely heavily on tourism spending to keep their heads above water.”
