Taking to the road in your caravan is a great feeling, but you want to start your tour the right way.
This means ensuring you and your van arrive safely at your destination, avoiding any pitfalls – including narrow roads1 – as you go.
That’s where the Garmin Camper 795 and CamperCam 795 come in. These two GPS Sat Nav devices don’t just make the journey safer – they help to make driving more enjoyable and relaxing.
Both devices provide a high-resolution, seven inch edge-to-edge touchscreen display, offering simple navigation from the moment you set off until you reach your destination.
Arrival at the campsite is made easier too, thanks to the new BirdsEye Satellite feature, which offers aerial imagery of your destination for painless parking.
Navigation made easier
Both the Camper 795 and CamperCam 795 are full of useful features.
For instance, as you drive, you’ll be able to stay one step ahead, receiving notice of upcoming sharp curves, weight limits and steep grades, as well as forward collision and lane departure warnings2.
The two Garmin devices also factor in the size and weight of your vehicle, and you can even save more than one ‘van.
What’s more, you can pair both the Camper 795 and the CamperCam 795 with your compatible smartphone for hands-free calling, plus download the Garmin Drive App to receive smart notifications, live weather and traffic updates.
Then there’s the map updates of the preloaded European maps, guidance about approaching Environmental Zones, Garmin voice assist, the built-in Wi-Fi for straightforward wireless updates…the list of features goes on!
Far more than just a Sat Nav
The CamperCam 795 comes with a built-in dash cam3, providing peace of mind on the road. Recording 1080p HD videos, the dash cam automatically saves videos of detected incidents to the online Vault, accessible through the Garmin Drive app.
The dash cam makes your journey that bit safer, also warning4 you if you’re drifting from your lane, as well as alerting you if you’re too near the vehicle in front.
Both sat navs are also compatible with the BC 50 and BC 40 backup cameras, making reversing a much easier business, as well as the Garmin PowerSwitch, which gives you effortless control of the 12V electronics in your caravan (although do note both are sold separately).
Who says the drive to the campsite needs to be dull?
Both devices come with a preloaded directory of campsites and stopovers from ACSI, Campercontact and Trailer’s PARK. For added ease, you can even filter them by amenities, such as electricity or showers.
Then there’s Roadtrip Routes, which offers more picturesque or adventurous routes to try, while Trendy Places will suggest the best places to visit along the route.
The Local Spots feature will then let you find nearby activities that are worth trying out, while the Michelin Green Guide offers in-depth information and pictures of attractions, helping you decide exactly where you want to visit.
This isn’t just navigation made easy – this is navigation made fun.
