The Caravan and Motorhome Club (CAMC) has announced Lickpenny Matlock Club Campsite in Derbyshire has joined its network.

The best caravan sites offer excellent facilities and are ideally situated for taking in the surrounding area. In the case of this campsite, which was previously known as Lickpenny Caravan Park, it is well-placed for exploring the Derbyshire Dales.

Each of the 16-acre site’s 120 spacious hardstanding pitches offer 16 amp electric hookup, while some are also serviced, coming with water and drainage too. Rhododendrons and mature trees mark out pitches on a site that was once an old nursery.

Facilities include EV charging points, two centrally heated utility blocks, laundry rooms and a washing up area. The dog-friendly caravan site has a woodland walk for our four-legged friends, as well as a play area for children.

Destinations to visit include Matlock and Bakewell, while Chatsworth House and Tramway Museum are among the attractions in the surrounding area that can be explored on day trips.

Harvey Alexander, Director of Marketing and Membership Services at the Caravan and Motorhome Club said, “We’re delighted to have Lickpenny Matlock Club Campsite on our network and we know it will be hugely popular with our members and guests. This beautiful, scenic and relaxing campsite provides the ideal base to explore the Derbyshire Dales. As a Club we always want to provide the perfect campsites, in the best locations, for our members and guests.”

The purchase of Lickpenny Matlock follows on from the CAMC’s £1.2m investment in its Totnes site, with the site set to reopen on 1st October.
